In their final pre-season game before the start of the Principality Premiership, Aberavon welcome RFU National League 2 North side Sheffield Tigers to the Talbot Athletic Ground this coming Saturday, kick off 2:30pm.

Founded in the 1932, the Tigers first played in National League 2 North during the 2011-12 season with them finishing ninth after winning fourteen of their thirty games. The following season they finished sixth, winning seventeen games. However, they were relegated at the end of the 2013-14 season when they finished fourteenth having won eight games. After two seasons in National League 3 North the Tigers were promoted again after being crowned Champions at the end of the 2015-16 season. Back in National League 2 North last season, the Tigers - who play at Dore Moor - finished thirteenth after winning ten games.

Last weekend, the Tigers won their first pre-season game, winning 24 - 12 at Harrogate (who were relegated from National League 2 North at the end of last season).

Saturday will be the first time that Aberavon and Sheffield Tigers have met in each other.
