Aberavon RFC is pleased to announce the creation of the all new networking initiative called the Connect 1876.
Utilita Energy, Britain’s fastest growing independent energy provider, will power the initiative.
Connect 1876 has been created to drive community collaboration with the immediate area of Neath Port Talbot. The objective is to connect people, communities and businesses alike. Therefore if you are an member of a community group, an entrepreneur or simply have keen interest of the area then Connect 1876 is for you.
There will be an opportunity for businesses and community groups to promote their area of work. Guest speakers will feature within the events schedule, to include industry experts, topical conversationalists, sports personalities and philanthropists.
All events will be informal.
“It adds value to the relationships by establishing the Connect 1876, which will be an avenue to promote business to business activity amongst our existing partners.
The opportunity to attend our Connect 1876 events is open to all. We welcome any businesses and community group,” said Chris Davies, Aberavon RFC Commercial and Marketing Manager.
The Connect 1876 events will be held at Aberavon RFC.
Each event will support a charitable cause.
Utilita Energy, the Clubs preferred Energy Partner, is the main sponsor of the Connect 1876. The relationship sees Utilita as the back of shirt sponsor of both the new home and away kits and a renaming of part of the ground to the ‘Utilita Terrace’.
Utilita’s success story- challenging the so-called Big Six- has in recent years been nothing short of remarkable: it reached half a million customers in April – up from just 200,000 as recently as July 2015 – and has trebled its staff numbers in 12 months to around 1,500 by August 2017. Since launching in November 2016, Utilita Business Energy has been committed to giving small and micro businesses a fairer deal on energy.
