Aberavon v Leinster S.E.Sealions MatchPack : Report

Aberavon 26 - 44 Leinster S.E.Sealions

An Aberavon Development XV lost 44 - 26 to the Irish touring side Leinster S.E.Sealions at the Talbot Athletic Ground last night. The side mostly made up from players from local clubs including Taibach and Corus.

The tourists kicked off the scoring with an unconverted try before Aberavon hit back when number eight Aaron Bray (Corus) touched down with outside half Mike McSweeney (Taibach) adding the extras. However, two further unconverted tries by the Irish side made the score 15 - 7 in their favour at the interval.

The homeside started the second half well with a brace of tries by full back Aled Davies (Porthcawl). McSweeney converted both to give Aberavon a 21 - 15 lead. The Sealions responded with three more unconverted tries before hooker Brett Thomas (Corus) forced his way over to reduce the tourists lead to just four points. However, late in the game the Sealions scored two further tries, both of which were converted.
