27.11.2011 - Wales 7's win Plate in Australia
Wales won the Plate competition in the first leg of this year's HSBC Sevens World Series by beating Samoa 26 - 15 in the final.
Wales topped their Pool with wins over Tonga (24 - 7), Scotland (14 - 12), and England (21 - 7) in the opening day in Australia. On the second day they lost 5 - 33 against Fiji in the quarter-finals, with Wales then entering the Plate competition where they beat France 14 - 12 to reach the final.
Ospreys/Aberavon centre Will Price played in all of Wales's games and scored a brace of tries in the win over Tonga.
