03.01.2012 - Message from Andrew & Mair
Both Mair and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that
contributed to the presentation last night, neither of us had a clue
what was going on although looking back during the day there were a
couple of things that happened that now make sense !! I honestly had no
idea up until about ten minutes before when I saw Paul Newport and Phil
Scannell up on the stage and I thought something was up but never
expected that, the Wizard will take pride and place in our new kitchen
and it’s a fabulous piece of work by Sean Egan who has been to Aberavon
RFC before for Mrs Mainwaring’s function as he designed and made the
Waterford Crystal that we had commissioned for both Mrs M and Bryn
Thomas. You could not have given us a better present and many thanks,
looks like I’ll have to do another ten years now just to say thanks !!
Two great results over the holiday period have given us a huge boost for
the second half of the season starting with a tough one this Saturday at
Llandovery but we will go there full of confidence to put right the
defeat at home in September, a big thank you to all the squad and
coaching staff for the first half of a long tough season and best wishes
to them and everyone at ARFC for 2012.
Again many thanks for the Wizard, a big surprise but very much
appreciated.
